It’s Homecoming Week! 🎉 What do you love most about being part of the Lakeside community? How do you show off your school spirit? What is your favorite Homecoming tradition or event?

Prompt Response: My favorite part of being a part of the lakeside community is the people. This is my favorite part because I can meet new people, and a lot of people know each other. I show off my school spirit by dressing up for football games. My favorite homecoming tradition is the after party, because it is fun.

Summary: We took an assesment on an Emily Dickinson poem, and worked on our poems.

Reflection: I figured out the themes and summary for my poem.

 Prompt Response: Throughout the last few weeks in this course we've read many Robert Frost poems that have had new vocabulary for me. While reading through these peoms and analyzing the new words that I've learned they've greaty impacted my writing. I've taken more time ot think about how I can improve my vocabulary by using more intricate terms. The complex vocabulary in the Story the rockpile also helped me understand the situations better with use of powerful words. Summary: I worked on finishing and turning in my one pager assignment.

 Prompt Response: The masks in the film represent struggle to fit in because everybody else in the school have different colored masks then her. One moment in the film that stood out to me was in the lunchroom, because she was sitting alone because her mask was different from everyone else. The message of the poem "I Too" is about not fitting in with other people because of being a different race, this is similar to the short film. Which is about not fitting in with people because there mask doesn't look the same. I want my mask to represent where I'm from.
