You’ve been in American Literature for 4.5 weeks now. How has the class been going for you so far?

 Prompt response: Class has been going good so far. I am up to date with all of my work, and I understand the class. I have leaned more about origin myths, and the cultural values that are encorparated in them. I've also learned about poems, and why they were made, and how they are structured.

Summary: Today we annotated peoms by Emily Dickinson.

Reflection: I learned about the author of the poems view on life and death.

Prompt: Write about a meaningful object or place in your life that carries a story.

 Prompt response: My Grandparents house in Alabama is a meaningful place to me. It is meaningful to me because it is where I get to see all of my family at the same time. It is also important to me because it is where I've gone for Christmas every year since I was a kid. Their house is very big and comfortable, which is another reason I like going there. Summary: We read a Navajo creation myth and answers discussion questions about it. Reflection: I learned about the core beliefs of the Navajo people, and how they belive life and the Earth were created.
