After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

 Prompt Response: One time I faced a somewhat dangerous situation was when my mom made me clean the roof. This task demanded my complete focus, because along with blowing leaves off, I had to clean the gutter. This was risky because I had to get right next to the edge of my roof to clean them, and without my complete focus I might've fallen off.

Summary: We read a poem by Robert Frost, and annotated it.

Reflection: I learned about how some people have to immmediatly continue with there lives after loosing a loved one.

 Prompt response: My Grandparents house in Alabama is a meaningful place to me. It is meaningful to me because it is where I get to see all of my family at the same time. It is also important to me because it is where I've gone for Christmas every year since I was a kid. Their house is very big and comfortable, which is another reason I like going there. Summary: We read a Navajo creation myth and answers discussion questions about it. Reflection: I learned about the core beliefs of the Navajo people, and how they belive life and the Earth were created.
