In “Birches,” Robert Frost celebrates imagination as a way to escape life’s difficulties and reconnect with innocence. The speaker wishes to “get away from earth awhile” but also understands that he must eventually return to reality. Think about the role of imagination in your own life. How does imagination help you cope with challenges, bored om, or stress?
Prompt Respose: I use my imagination in many ways to help cure my boredom and stress, like Robert Frost. Sometimes when I'm really bored, and sitting in my room alone, I use my imagination to formulate ideas of what I can do to pass the time. This has been very helpful for me because it increases my productivity while I'm not doing anything. I also use my imagination to help with stress by thinking of things that will take my mind off of things for a while.
