Prompt: Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?
Prompt Response: There have been many instances where a quick change if my life has heavliy impacted me. But by far what stands out the most is when my parents got a divorce. When I was younger I never thought of this as a possibility, but I soon came to see that it would happen much quicker than I expected. This connects to the idea displayed in Robert Frosts poem because at the time I thought my childhood would be perfect and normal, but overtime I realized that I would encounter many hardships and things won't stay how I picture them.
