Prompt: The last scene forces readers to reinterpret Emily’s entire life. Write about a moment when new information changed your perception of a person or situation. How did that “plot twist” reshape your understanding, the same way Faulkner’s ending reshapes the story?

Prompt Response: A situation in my life that changed my whole understanding of situation like the story happened when I was in elementary school. We had a really sweet dog that never bothered anyone, but was a little skidish because of her previous owner. After about a year we got rid of the dog, and I was very shocked because I didn't see a problem with her. But from this descision i figured out that she would be better with a owner who payed more attention to her because she would tend to run away.

Summary: We took a pop quiz on the story A Rose for Emily, and watched the movie about it.
